A Brummie is someone born in Birmingham , Staffordshire . Most residents of Sutton Coldfield like to think that they are posh and disassociate themselves from Brum , right Stan ?
absolutely.
definition of sex in Sutton Coldfield----?
= the big bag things their coal is delivered in.

First On-Screen Crush?
by Simon inmany years ago, we lived in a world where the one tv in your house might be black and white, perhaps color if you were lucky, but either way the screen was small and the arial on your house would struggle to deliver a decent signal but often fail in a fuzzy mess.
most of the movies you saw were old, there was no home video or rental - you got a chance to see something and then it was gone.
planning your viewing was important to make sure you didn't miss something so you'd carefully scan the tv guide to pick out your favourites ... good job there were only 2 or 3 channels to look through.. but you could still see quality if you went to the movie theatre and there you got to see glorious film on a giant screen (which is only now being equalled quality wise).

What Did You Do With All Your Meeting Clothes?
by minimus ini literally had dozens of suits.
i still have more dress clothes than anyone i know.
i did give some suits and clothing away and to be honest, i still like wearing a nice suit.. brothers and sisters, are all your “ meeting clothes” still in your closet?

in my teens--in the 60's--it was the norm for smart young men to wear suits. i had several--all bespoke. those days are long gone..and i miss them. nowadays i slop around in jeans, chinos and cords..but shorts all through the summer months. i own one suit--an off the peg cheapo from matalan i bought for my (df) sons wedding. in the photos i look dreadful. a square person with no neck and shaved head in an ill shaped blue suit. i was going to throw it away but then i got married so wore it for that.
i'm going to my wife's company xmas dinner with her---and just bought a brand new tux off ebay--still with labels on---£1-50 !!! plus postage. thats about 2 dollars i think. it fits ok--provided i dont do the button up. people will think i'm the doorman.

back in 1981 i had an affair with a married jw sister..we each got divorced by our spouses and lived together for a while. i thought even back then she was very much like Gemma Craven--especially in that photo. but it didnt last--neither have her looks--i found her on facebook recently and time has not been kind.

Just for fun...
by Vidiot in…(and for the very first time), i thought i'd post a new topic completely non-wt-related... about a subject matter i have a particular affinity for.... ..i'm a major movie geek (most people here already know that), but one of the many things i especially like are what i call "middle-finger victory lines".. they are memorable (and extremely quotable) moments of dialogue, wherein the protagonist says an extremely cool or badass comment to a very deserving defeated opponent.... ...usually (but not always) said when victory has just been literally snatched from the clutches of certain defeat, and serving as a tall, proud, and victorious flipoff to the often (but not always) shocked-at-the-sudden-turn-of-events enemy.. my ten favorites:.
"smile, you sonofabitch.
"sheriff brody to the shark......just before firing his last bullet into a scuba tank lodged in the charging shark's open jaws.jaws (1975).
